DR. MYRON HENRICKSON: Painless dentistry is coming into the office, sitting down, and having the dentist go in your mouth without you having any discomfort whatsoever, and then starting to work on your tooth without you having any discomfort whatsoever, and finishing your work. And you walk out and it’s like you didn’t have anything done that was traumatic. And that’s really the way it is.

One of the things we do to make it painless is we use a computer to give you the Novocaine. And that computer works tremendously. And we use a Novocaine—this is the second thing—we use a Novocaine called Septicaine, which is extremely profound, so that once we give it to you, that tooth is out. And once it’s out, there is no pain.

The third thing we can do is we can put you to sleep if you really need that. And then of course, you don’t feel anything.

It’s light years better. When I see older patients that haven't been to the dentist for a while, they can’t believe what we're doing and how fast we can get it done and how painless it is. I mean they just are astounded.
