DR. MIKE HENRICKSON: Dental implants are one of the best inventions this century in dentistry. Really what they are is a prosthesis that will help either replace a single tooth or multiple teeth for patients. And this, contrary to popular belief, can be a painless procedure for almost all patients.

At our office here, one of the things that we can do for patients in the terms of dental implants, is we can take a tooth that is missing. We can replace it with a dental implant, and we can restore it.

For most patients, restoring a dental implant means going first to the surgeon to have the dental implant placed and then coming back to the dentist to have the implant restored. For our patients, we do that all here in the same office. So they're not having to run around to different offices, more appointments. They're all seen here in our office.

We find a lot of patients that it changes their lives. This is really the wow effect for patients. They come in. They're missing a bunch of teeth, say, in the upper right or lower left area of their mouths. And they go from having no teeth to having teeth in these areas. It’s like we gave them back their God-given teeth. It’s as close to that as humanly possible. It’s one of the best things we can do for our patients.
